QUALIFICATIONS:
* MUST BE LICENSED AS A PARAMEDIC OR RN-EMT IN THE STATE OF TENNESSEE
*Must possess a valid Tennessee driver’s license Class D with F endorsement or other state with equivalent.
*Successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen, physical agility screening, and criminal/driving background check.
*Successful candidate must provide immunizations records for: Hepatitis B series, Influenza, MMR, Varicella (chickenpox), and Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis vaccinations and TB skin test.
SALARY:
$53,440.00
**Montgomery County Government adopted the State of Tennessee’s Hybrid Retirement Plan to be effective January 1, 2017. Any new full-time employee hired on or after January 1, 2017 will be required to enroll. As a member of the Hybrid Plan, you are required to contribute at least 5% of your salary to the defined benefit portion of the Hybrid Plan. Contributions are made on a tax-deferred basis.
DUTIES:
Responds to emergency medical, trauma and BLS calls; assesses and determines needs of the patient and/or situation. Communicates information to the dispatcher and medical control, assigns priorities of care, develops a treatment plan, and communicates plan to other EMS personnel and First Responders. Initiates basic and advanced life support procedures, according to established protocols and Standing Operating Guidelines. Prepares and completes patient care reports. Full time employees work 24 hour shifts.
